Magnetic CCO Lou Cordwell announced Chair of GMLEP

Last week we had some exciting news to celebrate as our very own Chief Creative Officer, Lou Cordwell announced Chair of GMLEP. Lou’s been part of the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership for over seven years now and this role sees a progression from Deputy Chair, SME Representative and Lead for Communications, Digital Broadcasting and Skills Fund.

It’s an exciting time as Lou sets to build on the already amazing work that’s been done by predecessor, Mike Blackburn and to strategically shape the future of Greater Manchester’s economic priorities, economic growth and the creation of jobs for the people of Manchester — and beyond.

Giving some insight into what we can expect to see over the coming years, Lou said:

“I am looking forward to helping steer this next era of the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership.

It is more important than ever that Greater Manchester continues to have a strong platform for public and private partnership. We will strive to ensure that our LEP continues to be the modern, collaborative and ambitious voice of Greater Manchester business.

We will continue the development and delivery of our Local Industrial Strategy — our plan to deliver an economy fit for the future, with prosperous communities across the city-region.”

We wish Lou all the best in her new role as Chair of GMLEP.
